Great to get this one under my belt. This championship has been won by so many Irish golf legends over the years. On balance the Adare Manor course should have proved a soft touch for top pros but a mixture of changeable weather conditions and some very innovative pin placements meant we had to work hard for every birdie.

Chased all the way by the ever reliable Michael Mc Geady I was delighted to win this with a closing birdie. Didn’t really fancy a playoff. Winning this guarantees me a spot in the Irish Open 2015. Thanks to all at the PGA and all at Adare Manor for great welcome and super course set up.
