Winning the Irish PGA Championship and subsequently the Irish region Order of Merit landed me with a ticket to Turkey and a chance to tee it up at the magnificent Sultans Course in Antalya. Playing alongside the best players not only from the Irish region but also the cream of England, Scotland and Wales, it was terrific to win this one particularly on my first visit to the course and the tournament. Held over 3 rounds this was always going to be tough but a 65 on the first day followed by to really solid 67 got me over the line by 2. Super weeks work and great to have my dad on the bag and mam there for backup.

Huge thanks to the PGA for the opportunity to play in this event. This opens some very significant doors for next year, the most significant being entry into the BMW Championship at Wentworth. Already looking forward to that one. Also qualifies me for the GB&I Team to play against the USA for the PGA Cup next September. This match is to be held in CaliforniaS.can’t wait
